Inspector mode

Schedule and conduct agency inspections of your member organizations, issue citations with abatement deadlines, and track each citation to closure — the loss-control / regulator visit workflow.

Inspector mode (Agency oversight → Inspections, /agency/inspections) is for a pool or agency that performs loss-control visits or regulatory inspections of its member organizations. Inspections and their citations are the agency's own records — they live in the agency's workspace, not the member's. You need the Agency Inspector or Agency Admin role.

The inspection lifecycle

  1. Schedule — in Schedule an inspection, pick the member organization, name the inspector (the box suggests your agency's own people; you can also type an outside inspector), set a date, and click Schedule. The inspection starts as Scheduled.
  2. Mark conducted — once the visit happens, click Mark conducted on the row. (Adding a citation also marks it conducted automatically.)
  3. Add citations — click Citations to expand a row, then record the standard cited, a description, the severity, and an abatement-due date. Each open citation counts toward the row's "Open citations" total.
  4. Abate — when the member fixes the finding, click Mark abated on that citation. When every citation is abated, the inspection moves to Closed.

Reading the board

  • Overdue abatements turn the row red and show in the Overdue column — the citations past their abatement date that still aren't resolved.
  • Use Export CSV to download the citations/inspections register.

What happens automatically

  • You can only inspect organizations that are members of your agency — the target is verified against your agency's membership, never trusted from the request.
  • Citing a scheduled inspection sets its conducted date for you.
  • An inspection closes itself once all its citations are abated.
