Get set up

Get set up is the guided wizard that takes you from empty to usable in minutes. It has four steps — Your business, Sites, Content, Data & team — and your progress is saved, so you can leave and come back anytime. Choose Turn off setup guide to hide it (everything can be done from the regular pages); you can turn it back on later.

1. Your business

1. Open Get set up and pick your Industry — it shapes which starter content is suggested.
2. Optionally add your NAICS code (enables industry injury-rate benchmarking), employee count band, and states you operate in.
3. Set Where should safety alerts go? — overdue inspections, expiring permits and similar escalations email this "Safety Team" address. Choose Save & continue.

2. Sites

1. Add each site's name and kind (for mining, an MSHA mine id field appears).
2. Enter average employees and hours worked per year — these power your injury-rate math (TRIR/DART) from day one; estimates are fine. Use + Add site for more, then Save & continue.
3. If sites already exist, the rows here add more — manage them anytime on Sites.

3. Content

Starter packs recommended for your industry are pre-selected; the rest sit under Content for other industries. Packs include inspection checklist templates, JSA libraries (common high-risk jobs, plus a healthcare library for patient-care and support-service jobs, a Construction JSA library — OSHA 1926 high-risk jobs, and a Logistics JSA library — warehouse & dock jobs), a common-chemical SDS library, machine LOTO energy-control procedure templates (1910.147), role training matrices (MSHA Part 46/48 + OSHA industrial roles, manufacturing roles, healthcare roles like RN and EVS, Construction role training matrices for the trades, or Logistics role training matrices including the driver role matrix), manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and logistics pick lists (warehouse & fleet roles, work areas), toolbox talks and more. Choose Create sites & install content — a summary lists what was created and installed.

4. Data & team

• Download the onboarding workbook — one Excel file, one sheet per data type with worked examples — and upload it on the Import page. Site columns take your site names.
• Or add a few key people right now by name, email, job title and site.
• Choose Finish setup when done — you can still import data and add people anytime.

While the tenant is still empty (no sites), a Load demo data option seeds a realistic fictional organization matched to your industry — a mining operation by default (sites, incidents, workplace exams, training certs, CAPAs), a hospital and clinic for healthcare (roster, bloodborne exposures, patient-handling assessments, a hazardous-drug register, violence log, respirator users), or a manufacturer for manufacturing — Ridgeline Metal Products — Main Plant + Distribution Warehouse (a machine register with a press removed for a guard defect, LOTO procedures, a combustible-dust area, forklift operators and a truck out of service), or a general contractor for construction — Summit Builders — Tower 5 High-Rise + Riverside Bridge Deck jobsites (a trades roster, a leading-edge fall injury under OSHA 1926, an unprotected trench, a red-tagged scaffold, a harness removed from service, a silica Table-1 saw task, competent-person/crane/rigger credentials, a gated electrical subcontractor, and building + stormwater permits), or a 3PL/carrier for logistics — Meridian Freight & Logistics — a distribution center + Fleet Operations (a fleet vehicle out of service on a DVIR defect, a driver over the 11-hour HOS limit, forklift operators with an expired evaluation and a truck out of service, a red-tagged racking bay, a high-risk manual-lift task, a dock/backing incident, and mixed-state CDL / forklift / DOT-medical credentials) — so you can click around immediately. It disappears once real sites exist, so it never mixes into real records.
