Asset safety passports

Every machine and vehicle gets a scannable QR passport: point a phone at it and see that asset's safety state, and report a defect on the spot — no login needed. The page pulls its list from what you've already registered: machines from machine guarding and vehicles from fleet & DVIR.

Share a passport

1. Go to Asset safety passports. Each row shows the asset, kind (machine or vehicle), site, location, and a state badge — ok or needs attention.
2. Click Open passport to preview an asset's passport in a new tab.
3. Click Copy link and put the link behind a QR sticker on the equipment. The link is a scoped token for that one asset — anyone who scans it sees the passport without signing in.

What a passport shows

• The asset's service status (in service / out of service or removed from service), its last inspection and next inspection or DVIR due date.
• The lockout/tagout procedures on file that match the asset by name.
• Open defects — any defects recorded against the asset plus open CAPAs raised from it.

Report a defect from the floor

1. On the passport, describe the problem under See a problem? Report it now — a name is optional.
2. Click Report defect. The report is logged as a hazard case in incidents, tagged to the asset's site and location, and the reporter gets the case number back on screen.

What happens automatically

• Rows go needs attention when the underlying module flags the asset — a machine overdue for guarding inspection or a vehicle with DVIR problems — so this page doubles as a quick cross-module equipment check.
• Defect reports land in the incident triage queue like any other hazard report; nothing sits in a separate inbox.

Tip: assets are added and retired in their home modules (Machine guarding, Fleet & DVIR) — this page only composes what's already there, so keep those registers current.
