Privacy policy

Plain English, no dark patterns. This policy covers what SE Worldwide does with the data you submit on this marketing site (se-worldwide.com). The SE product itself, when you become a customer, is governed by a separate Data Processing Addendum.

Who we are

SE Worldwide is the data controller for personal data submitted through this site. Questions about how your data is handled go to scott@se-worldwide.com.

What we collect

When you submit the demo-request form we collect:

  • Your name and work email address.
  • The company you work for.
  • Phone number, if you chose to provide one (optional field).
  • Whatever you wrote in the "tell us about your operation" field.

When any page on this site loads, our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps) records a standard server log line — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp. Those logs are retained per Microsoft's defaults and we don't ingest them into any analytics tool on our side.

What we don't collect

We don't use Google Analytics, Plausible, Hotjar, Mixpanel, Segment, Heap, or any other third-party analytics or session-replay tool on this site. We don't run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels. We don't set cookies on your browser from this site. See the Cookies page for the receipts.

Why we collect it

We use what you submit only to follow up with you about your demo request — typically an email reply within one business day to schedule a 30-minute walkthrough. We do not add you to a marketing list or send unsolicited bulk email. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your information with third parties. The legal basis under GDPR / UK GDPR is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — you gave it by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.

How long we keep it

Demo-request submissions are retained for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact with you, then deleted — unless we have a separate legal basis to keep them (for example, if you became a customer and the data belongs to your account). You can ask us to delete your data sooner; see Your rights below.

Where it's stored

Marketing-site demo-request data is stored on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. We act as the data controller; Microsoft acts as our sub-processor for hosting. International transfers, if applicable to your location, are covered by Microsoft's Standard Contractual Clauses commitments under the EU and UK frameworks.

Your rights under GDPR and UK GDPR

If you're in the EU, EEA, or UK — and, increasingly, anywhere else — you have the right to:

  • Ask what data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct it if it's wrong.
  • Ask us to delete it (the "right to be forgotten").
  • Ask us to give you a copy in a portable format.
  • Ask us to stop processing it, or restrict how we use it.
  • Object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority — for example, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands, the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or your member-state supervisory authority in the EU.

To exercise any of these, write to scott@se-worldwide.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. Customers of the SE product have these same rights surfaced through an in-product Data Subject Access Request self-service flow built into the platform; see the compliance page for context on how that works operationally.

Children

SE is a business-to-business platform. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, the "Last updated" date at the top changes and a notice will surface on the home page for at least 30 days. Minor wording fixes that don't alter what data we collect or what we do with it may go in without a banner.
